How should I apply for a Freelancing Job on Facebook?

I always say that Facebook freelance job securing is a piece of cake. Facebook is very easy money although the rush and fluff on Facebook are innumerable. But at the same time, it is easy to secure a job if you use the appropriate way of applying. Simply you just need to understand the job requirements and prepare your cover letter with the right pitching techniques. Couple it with your experience and sample work and send it to the recruiter via the method described to apply. And yes, you can compete.

I will explain to you with an example and stats, from the recruiter’s point of view, as I posted a job opportunity in a Facebook group and I explained all of my requirements and mentioned my email address to approach me.

Now what happened, 50 to 60 percent of the people who commented on it as “interested”. They were totally out of the competition. They do not know the basics about, how to approach and apply for a job in the right way.

The other 20 to 30 percent appeared in the inbox and dropped their text that they were interested in doing this job. This second way is also out of the competition, they do not bother to approach me through the way prescribed in the post.

Only 10 to 20 percent of the people applied for the position via email. But all of these applicants were still not eligible as they just through their samples in my inbox via email, no pitching, no cover letter. Out of all these people, only 2 to 3 percent of the people applied via cover letters, samples, and portfolios. They pitched as per the requirements, so although there is a lot of fluff on Facebook, but trust me guys, the competition is very, very low.

So, in conclusion, it is important to pitch the job in the right way and tell the recruiters that you are the most eligible person for this role. At the start when you are a beginner your ratio of getting the answer is very low. For example, if you apply 20 times maybe you will get answered for 1 or 2 positions. But with time your skills improve and you will see the response rate will be increased. if you apply for 5 positions, it is possible to get answered by 2 to 3 sides. So, don’t lose hope as a beginner, and keep learning and growing. And keep using innovative ways to approach new opportunities.
